Lawyer Referrals

Klaproth Law handles cases throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.  Many of our cases come through referrals from other lawyers.  We also work with lawyers in co-counsel and joint venture arrangements.

When to Refer a Case to Klaproth Law

Referring attorneys typically contact us when they encounter a matter that:

  • Involves retaliation, whistleblower, class action claims, or high-stakes employment disputes

  • Involves catastrophic or life-altering injury, but raises non-standard or novel liability issues

  • Falls outside your firm’s core practice area

  • Presents factual or legal complexity concerns

We are particularly well suited for complex cases where the facts are serious, the exposure is real, and careful screening matters. If you think there is a case, but you are not sure how to handle it, then contact us.

If you are a lawyer and have a case, but either do not specialize in a particular area of law or are not licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey or New York, contact Klaproth Law.

Referral Fees & Co-Counsel Arrangements

Referral fees are handled in full compliance with applicable ethical rules and are documented clearly at the outset.

Depending on the matter, we are open to:

  • Straight referral arrangements, or

  • Thoughtful co-counsel relationships where appropriate

We are transparent about expectations, roles, and economics from the beginning.

Depending on the value of the case, Klaproth Law is open to paying a higher percentage than the referring lawyer would receive from another firm.  We want your referrals. Our success is your success.

How to Submit a Referral

Referrals may be submitted directly by phone or email.

If helpful, we are also available for informal, no-pressure conversations regarding potential matters before a formal referral is made.

If you have a case you would like to refer to Klaproth Law or you would like to discuss working together on a case, contact us now.
